We will meet at the north entrance gate to Connetquot State Park (walk in- no cars) and hike a portion of the L.I. Trail to the fish hatchery and back. Bring water, insect/tick protection; rain cancels. From the L. I.  Expressway take exit 58 south onto Veterans Memorial Highway (Route 454), continue about 1 ½  miles to the park entrance- just past the intersection with Connetquot Ave. (look for pedestrian crossing with flashing traffic light); park along the right side of the road on grass area off shoulder; from Sunrise Highway and points east, take Veterans Highway (Route 454) north about 6 miles to the intersection with Connetquot Ave., make a U turn and head south on Veterans Highway a short distance and park to the right.
