A light hike with refreshments provided by the Public Lands store in Melville; hike will include a portion of the Nassau-Suffolk Greenbelt Trail; bring water; rain/inclement weather cancels (text or call if in doubt); meet at Bethpage State Park picnic area parking lot in front of the restrooms; from NY 135 southbound, take Exit 8 to Powell Ave.; turn left over expressway and left to park entrance on left; go to the end of the road and straight ahead to far side of parking lot; from the south, take Bethpage Pkwy. north from So. St. Pkwy. to traffic circle, go ¾ around circle and continue to park entrance.
